What is the injection molding temperature for PC plastic?
What are the injection molding temperatures for PC (polycarbonate) plastic? The injection molding temperature range for PC plastic is typically high, depending on the material grade, product requirements, and equipment conditions. The following are detailed temperature parameters for reference only.

1. Barrel Temperature (Segmented Control)
Rear section (feeding zone): 250~280℃
(To prevent premature melting and screw jamming)
Middle section (compression zone): 280~310℃
(To ensure sufficient plasticization)
Front section (metering zone): 300~320℃
(To homogenize the melt; common range is 280~320℃, some high-flow grades can be as low as 260℃)
2. Nozzle Temperature
Recommended range: 290~320℃
(Should be slightly lower than the front section temperature to avoid drooling or degradation)
3. Mold Temperature
- Conventional range: 80~120℃
- High-gloss surface/complex structure: 100~120℃ (to reduce internal stress)
- Ordinary products: 80~100℃
(Below 80℃ may lead to cold marks or stress cracking)
4. Melt Temperature (Actual Measured Value)
- Ideal range: 280~320℃
(Can be confirmed with an infrared thermometer; exceeding 340℃ easily causes thermal degradation)
