The product structure is adjusted; after the product design modification is confirmed, the two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings of the mold design will be completed within one week, and the progress will be made concurrently.
The line convenes an internal review, and then submits to the customer for confirmation. After the customer confirms the drawing, the mold shop will conduct each mold according to the drawing.
Processing (CNC, EDM, wire cutting, machining, etc.), after the quality control department has passed the inspection of the finished mold components, the clamp The mold is assembled and tested by a team.
After the samples are inspected by the quality control department, the inspection report and samples are sent to the customer.
Basic Process of Injection Molding
The basic process of injection molding includes the following steps
Feeding: You put plastic pellets or powder into the hopper of the plastic injection molding machine. A screw at the bottom of the hopper turns and moves the plastic into the heating cylinder.
Plasticizing: The plastic gets heated and melted in the heating cylinder by both the heat and the turning of the screw. The temperature of the heating cylinder is usually divided into several zones, each with a different temperature to heat the plastic gradually and melt it evenly.
Injection: The melted plastic gets injected into the mold cavity through the screw. While injecting, the screw moves forward quickly and pushes the plastic into the mold cavity.
Cooling: The plastic cools and hardens in the mold. The time it takes to cool depends on the thickness of the product and the cooling system of the mold.
Mold Opening: The mold opens, and you take out the product. After opening the mold, you take out the product either with a robot or by hand.
Trimming: You trim and inspect the product, removing any extra material like flash. You check the trimmed product to make sure it meets the standards.
