What factors will affect the precision of injection mold processing?
When our injection molds are being processed, how can the precision management of molds be effectively improved? First of all, we need to know which issues affect the precision of injection mold production and processing.
1. Dimensional accuracy
Refers to the actual working size of the processed parts and the tolerance size and range of the parts.
Precision is controlled by dimensional tolerance. Dimensional tolerance is the allowable deviation of the size of the parts during the cutting process. When the basic dimensions are the same, the smaller the dimensional tolerance, the higher the dimensional accuracy.

2. Shape accuracy
Refers to the degree of overlap between the actual geometric structure shape of the surface of the processed product parts and the ideal geometric model shape. There are 6 items to evaluate shape and accuracy, such as straightness, flatness, roundness, cylindricity and line profile. Different shape accuracy is controlled by shape tolerance management. Except for roundness and cylindricity, all these shape tolerances are divided into 12 accuracy requirement levels. Level 1 is high and level 12 is low.
3. Position accuracy
Refers to the difference between the research surface of the processed parts and the actual working position and accuracy of the enterprise. The accuracy evaluation of position information includes eight aspects: parallelism, verticality, inclination, coaxiality, symmetry, position, circular runout and total runout. Position positioning accuracy is controlled by position tolerance, and position tolerances for various purposes are divided into 12 accuracy assessment levels.
Generally, when designing mechanical parts and determining processing accuracy, attention should be paid to controlling the shape error in the position tolerance, and the position error should be smaller than the size tolerance.
