The following points should be noted when designing the injection mold for houseware plastic baskets:
1. Mold opening direction and parting line: When starting the design, the mold opening direction and parting line should be determined first to ensure that the core pulling slider mechanism is minimized and the influence of the parting line on the appearance is eliminated. The product's reinforcement ribs, buckles, protrusions and other structures should be designed to be consistent with the mold opening direction as much as possible to avoid core pulling to reduce the seam line and extend the mold life.
2. Fillet: Setting a reasonable fillet can improve the mold processing technology and prevent stress concentration from causing cracking. Different fillets may cause the movement of the parting line, and different fillets or clear corners should be selected according to the actual situation.
3. Mold material and structural design: Select suitable mold materials, such as high-quality aluminum alloys and excellent steel, to ensure the quality and life of the mold. The structural design should be simple and clear, easy to process and maintain, and reduce costs and cycles.
4. Cooling system and maintenance: Ensure that the cooling system provides sufficient cooling water flow and pressure to ensure uniform mold surface temperature. Clean the mold surface regularly and use lubricating oil to increase the service life of the mold. When not in use or stored for a long time, apply protective oil and avoid the mold from getting wet or hit.
