Toy Car Mold
The production process of toy car molds mainly includes the following steps:
3D modeling: First, 3D modeling is performed according to the design drawings to create a three-dimensional model of the toy car. This step is the basis of mold production and ensures the accuracy of the mold and the restoration of the appearance.

Mold opening: After completing 3D modeling, mold opening is required. Mold opening is the process of converting a 3D model into an actual mold. Usually, a model containing more than 200 parts requires 10 to 14 sets of molds, and each set of molds produces different parts.

Production and processing: After the mold is opened, production and processing are carried out. High-temperature liquid zinc alloy is injected into the steel mold and formed by die casting. This step is similar to the stamping process of a real car.



Material selection and cost of toy car molds:
Material selection: Common materials include plastic plates, wood plates, metal wires, etc. Plastic plates such as ABS engineering plastics are hard and easy to shape, but they are relatively light; metal wires are used to make the basic framework of the frame and chassis.
Cost: The cost of making alloy molds is high, usually millions of dollars, but the service life is long; while resin molds are cheaper, but the service life is shorter.
