                       Why do we need to test the injection mold?

 

Will the injection mold be put into production immediately after processing? The answer is of course no, because there is another very important link: - trial mold. Before a new mold is injected, or when the machine replaces other molds, trial mold is an indispensable link, and the result of trial mold will directly affect the subsequent production of the factory.

You can't tell whether a plastic mold is good for injection molding with your eyes. Generally speaking, when the mold is designed, it will not be used directly as a product, because there will be defects of one kind or another after it is produced. But this defect is unavoidable before manufacturing, and it is likely that it will not be stored and processed during the manufacturing process. Therefore, we need to analyze, evaluate and optimize the samples produced by the trial mold to meet the requirements of high quality. However, the defects of molded products are mostly caused by plasticization and injection molding, and may also be caused by improper plastic mold manufacturing. Therefore, in order to avoid product defects caused by mold design, it is necessary to analyze the mold design and process parameters during the mold manufacturing process.

 

What are the consequences of a large number of trial molds?

 

Although the process parameters and mold design of injection molds can be optimized, the production cost of injection molds will also increase. If the injection mold structure is found to be unreasonable after the mold trial, the injection mold must be improved, which will undoubtedly make the injection molding cost exceed the budget. For example, some injection molds are well designed, but the process is not in place. In the case of not selecting the best molding process and injection mold in the experiment, it is obvious that the mold is well made, but the product molded is not good. There is no complete understanding of the physical properties of plastics and no accurate shrinkage rate, which often happens. What makes people vomit blood is that many situations are not satisfactory, and even the injection mold has to be scrapped.

How to reduce the number of mold trials?

 

The number of mold tests for a set of molds depends on the following points:

 

1. Is the customer's product structure optimization perfect?

2. Is the street review of the mold drawing perfect?

3. Is the processing process arrangement of the mold parts reasonable?

4. Is the mold processing process control appropriate?

5. Is the scientific model test effective?

6. Is the improvement plan for the test problem strict and effective?
