Why should the injection mold be tried in advance?
If there is a problem with the injection molded part, it may be caused by the plasticization or injection stage of the mold, and sometimes it is related to unreasonable design. In addition, the position size, the number of cavities of the product structure itself, etc. will also have an impact. In order to prevent product defects caused by the design of the injection mold, we often need to try the mold.
After the mold trial, the operator usually needs to evaluate the specific situation of the mold to avoid increasing costs and time during the modification process. Generally, in order to make up for the defects of the mold design, incorrect settings may be made without knowing it. The parameter setting range required to produce qualified products is small, and any deviation in the parameters may cause the quality to far exceed the allowable error range.
Some injection molds are limited by the template area, causing the slider to be exposed outside the guide groove after the core is pulled. The initial stage of mold closing and reset is prone to cause the slider to tilt, especially when the slider is damaged or even bent during mold closing. Therefore, we can pay attention to the length of the slider left in the slide groove after the slider completes the core pulling action based on experience. The design of the mold should be based on the quality requirements of the plastic parts, and the mold structure should be low in cost. This is a better mold.
The cooling effect of the injection mold directly affects the quality and production efficiency of the product. For example, poor cooling will cause large shrinkage of the product, uneven shrinkage, and warping and deformation. On the other hand, if the mold is overheated as a whole or in part, the molding effect will deteriorate, and production may be suspended. In severe cases, the moving parts will be stuck due to thermal expansion. The design of the cooling system needs to be determined by the shape of the product, and this step cannot be omitted because of the complexity of the mold or the difficulty of processing.
