The process flow of the gas-assisted injection mold for automobile door handles mainly includes the following steps:
1. Mold closing: Close the mold for injection molding.
2. Melt injection: The plastic melt is injected into the cavity, usually accounting for 60%-95% of the cavity. The injection volume depends on the process selection and product design requirements.
3. Gas injection: High-pressure inert gas (usually nitrogen) is injected into the melt to push the melt to continue filling the cavity and eventually fill the entire cavity.
4. Gas pressure holding: The gas maintains a certain pressure after pushing the melt to fill the cavity, just like the pressure holding stage in traditional injection molding, and the pressure holding process of the injection molding machine can usually be omitted.
5. Gas discharge and mold opening: When the material cools, the gas is discharged, the mold is opened, and the product is ejected from the mold.
