1. Processing companies should first equip each pair of molds with a resume card to record and count their usage, care (lubrication, cleaning, rust removal) and damage in detail. According to the card, you can find out which parts are damaged and the degree of wear, so as to provide information to find and solve problems, as well as mold molding process parameters and materials used for products, reduce mold trial time, and improve production efficiency.
2. Processing companies should test various properties of molds and measure the size of the final molded parts under the normal operation of injection molding machines and molds. Through this information, you can determine the current status of the mold, find out the damage of the cavity, core, cooling system and parting surface, and judge the damage condition and maintenance measures of the mold based on the information provided by the plastic parts.
After completing a production cycle, professional anti-rust oil should be applied to the working surface, moving parts and guide parts of the mold, and special attention should be paid to the elastic strength protection of the mold bearing parts with gears, racks and springs to ensure that they are always in good working condition.
With the continuous extension of production time, scale, rust, sludge and algae are easily deposited in the cooling channel, which makes the cross-section of the cooling channel smaller and narrower, greatly reducing the heat exchange rate between the coolant and the mold and increasing the production cost. Therefore, attention should be paid to the cleaning of the cooling channel.
For hot runner molds, the maintenance of the heating and control system is very important because it helps prevent production failures. Therefore, after each production cycle, the strip heaters, rod heaters, heating probes and thermocouples on the mold should be measured with an ohmmeter. If damaged, it should be replaced in time, compared with the mold resume, and records should be kept so that problems can be found in time and countermeasures can be taken.
