                                             Vacuum Forming Molds

 

Vacuum forming molds are tools used in the vacuum forming process to soften plastic sheets through vacuum adsorption and heating, forming the product. They are widely used in packaging, toys, medical, automotive, and other fields. Their manufacturing requires selecting an appropriate solution based on production needs. Common types include plaster molds, electroplated copper molds, and aluminum alloy molds.

Plaster molds are low-cost and have a short production cycle (within 24 hours), suitable for prototyping or small-batch production, but they are fragile and have lower precision. Electroplated copper molds have a smooth and durable surface, making them the first choice for routine production and suitable for non-precision products. Aluminum alloy molds have high precision and a long lifespan (up to 1 million cycles), suitable for high-volume and high-requirement scenarios. The mold body consists of a base plate, core, and vacuum adsorption holes; some are equipped with ejection mechanisms to optimize demolding efficiency. The manufacturing process requires control of material quality and processing precision, using CNC machining and annealing processes to ensure performance. Special process molds, such as ceramic molds, use highly porous materials to improve adsorption uniformity, while high-frequency molds are suitable for double-bubble welding processes.
